Booz Allen gets Navy contract extension

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. will continue providing engineering and technical services to the Naval Air Warfare Center under a new contract option.

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. will continue providing engineering and technical services to the Naval Air Warfare Center under a six-month, $9.8 million contract option.

The company will provide various services, including research, design, development, and test and evaluation for advanced technologies associated with communications and electronics, the Defense Department said. Other services covered under the award include installation, maintenance, training and logistics.

The work supports communications-electronics programs for the U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Central Command, Marine Corps Systems Command and Army Special Operations, DOD said.

Booz Allen will perform the work for the Special Communications Requirements Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Md.

Booz Allen, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
