Army task order expands CACI services

CACI International Inc. will expand the management, engineering and training services it provides to the Army as the result of a new task order worth $30.6 million.

The competitively awarded work raises the value of the Army's four-year Project Manager, Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below task order to $72.6 million, CACI said.

Under the original award, the company has been providing program management, systems engineering, logistics and training support for the Force Brigade Ground System, the principal Army digital command and control system at the brigade level and below.

With the additional task order, CACI will expand those services to include the Aviation System and the Army Airborne Command and Control System. Those services will focus on the Army's tens of thousands of helicopters and their essential role in all activities, from battlefield engagements to humanitarian relief operations, company officials said.

With the latest award, CACI said it has now won about $1.2 billion in task orders since receiving the Army's Strategic Services Sourcing contract in March 2006.

CACI of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
