Windsor wins training and simulation work

Windsor Continental Corp. has won a new contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Command to provide live and virtual training systems.

Windsor Continental Corp. has won a $11.1 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Command to provide live and virtual training systems.

Under terms of the agreement, Windsor, of Alexandria, Va., will deliver live and virtual training systems and support for the Army National Guard.

The contract covers instrumentation equipment for the Guard's eXportable Combat Training Center initiatives and expanded fielding and support of its Mobile Virtual Training Capability.

"The program expands the critical training available through the fixed Combat Training Centers for unit rotations," said Margaret Grayson, Windsor's president.

Windsor's partner on the project is SRI International, of Menlo Park, Calif.

The Indian Head Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Command is the contracting activity. The division supports a variety of Defense Department activities, including some involving the Army and Marines.
