Venneri joins Asynchrony Solutions

Sam Venneri, former NASA chief technology officer and chief information officer, has joined Asynchrony Solutions Inc. as senior vice president.

The 20-year veteran of the space agency will combine his extensive experience with the company's expertise in methodology and prototyping to help government agencies and commercial markets improve and expand their product applications, Asynchrony said.

While at NASA, Venneri assembled interdisciplinary teams composed of NASA centers, respected industrial firms and universities to exploit advances in a broad range of research areas including telescope optics, space-based communications, propulsion, robotics and information technology.

His leadership was responsible for many of the NASA-initiated innovations used in industries such as transportation, health care and homeland security, Asynchrony said.

Venneri said he joined the St. Louis company because Asynchrony can generate product capabilities in cycles of months, rather than years. "This is very exciting work," he said.
