Tyler wins software services deal
Tyler Technologies will install a Web-based courts and justice software system for Galveston County, Texas, under a new contract.
Tyler Technologies Inc. will install a Web-based courts and justice software system for Galveston County, Texas, under a contract worth about $2.7 million.
The contract between Galveston County and the company covers implementation of Tyler's Odyssey courts and justice software as well as various other professional services, Tyler said.
As a result of a pre-existing $12.4 million software agreement signed in 2006 between Tyler and the Texas Conference of Urban Counties, Galveston County has access to several applications that are part of the Odyssey software package.
That agreement gives members of the urban counties group the right to use Tyler's Odyssey case manager and Odyssey prosecutor software applications. The agreement also gives members that adopt the court management systems access to other applications, such as law enforcement, jail manager and check manager.
Tyler, based in Dallas, offers information management solutions and services to local governments.
