SRA to aid immigration agency

SRA International Inc. has been hired to provide analytical help and technical support to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to identify and protect against terrorist and criminal threats, the company said.

The contract with ICE's Office of Investigations is valued at $17.9 million over three years if all options are exercised.

SRA will provide two types of assistance: Law enforcement analysis and information technology support services. The SRA team of IT professionals, intelligence officers and investigative research assistants will comb through and analyze data from ICE and Homeland Security Department computer systems.

In addition to analytic support, SRA will put in place technical IT support staff to do training and statistical analysis and to manage databases that have been designed by SRA.

SRA, based in Fairfax, Va., has about 6,300 employees and revenues of about $1.26 billion annually. It ranked No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
