Serco names Galanis CFO

Richard Galanis, former chief financial officer at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, has been named CFO at Serco North America Inc., where he will direct financial management and support acquisition integration.

Galanis has more than 30 years' experience with large-growth companies in the federal contracting sector. As CFO at the General Dynamics business unit, he successfully integrated several key acquisitions, including the $1.5 billion Veridian acquisition in 2003, which more than doubled the business unit's revenue.

Before General Dynamics' acquisition of GTE Government Systems in 1999, Galanis was director of finance at the company's Electronic Systems division.
