Northrop Grumman Corp. will continue to help streamline data processing operations for the Illinois Department of Human Services under a five-year, $64 million contract renewal.

Northrop Grumman will provide data processing and network management support, and program management of electronic benefits transfer services for Illinois' food stamp and other cash assistance programs. Northrop originally won a contract with the department in 2003.

Northrop Grumman also will expand the department's Web site for assistance program participants to securely view transactions and easily request replacement benefits cards. The company plans to install an enhanced interactive voice response system for the department's call center and upgrade the state's system for mailing new and replacement benefits cards.

Northrop Grumman's teammates on the contract include Affiliated Computer Services Inc. of Dallas and GTECH Corp. of Providence, R.I.

Northrop Grumman of Los Angeles ranks No. 3 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
