WidePoint, Protexx to partner on information assurance

Two companies with expertise in information assurance have joined forces to expand their product offerings and extend their market reach.

WidePoint Corp. has teamed up with Protexx Inc. to expand its core security offerings into the commercial sector and offer a broader portfolio of services to its federal customers.

Under the agreement, WidePoint will provide back-end support for Protexx's products, and Protexx will be able to offer WidePoint's identity management expertise to its customers.

Simply put, information assurance is a discipline tightly focused on the need to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and the systems through which data is delivered.

WidePoint of Fairfax, Va., specializes in identity management and information assurance services, forensic informatics and wireless technology services.

Protexx, based in Deerfield Beach, Fla., provides encryption software designed to ensure the safe transmission of sensitive data over wireless environments and protect the identity of sender and receiver.
