QinetiQ North America will continue to provide security services to the Defense Department for the next five years under a new $30 million follow-on contract.
QNA's Missions Solutions Group ? formerly Analex Corp. ? will provide a wide range of unspecified security services to DOD's Counterintelligence Field Activity, primarily in the Washington area.
QNA won the contract in December 2003 to help protect government personnel, critical infrastructure and sensitive defense programs.
The company created the Missions Solutions Group when QNA purchased Analex last March. The aerospace and intelligence support services contractor joined other recent QinetiQ acquisitions, including Apogen Technologies Inc., Foster Miller, Planning Systems and Westar Aerospace and Defense Group.
QinetiQ North America of McLean, Va., is a subsidiary of QinetiQ Group plc of Farnborough, Great Britain, and ranks No. 45 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
