CSC wins $70M DOD award

Computer Sciences Corp. will provide systems engineering and technical support services to the Defense Department under a new contract that could be worth as much as $70 million.
Under the five-year agreement, CSC will assist DOD's Product Manager, Force Protection Systems organization, which provides centralized management in the research, development and acquisition of physical security equipment, command and control systems, security lighting and other warning systems.
CSC's team of small contractors includes Empire Video and Earthcare Technologies Inc. of Springfield, Va.; Registration Control Systems Inc. of Wye Mills, Md.; and the Convention Store of Edgewater, Md.
CSC of El Segundo, Calif., ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
