ITT wins Iraqi forces tactical radio deal

ITT Industries Inc. has won a contract worth nearly $80 million from the Army to provide integrated, nonstandard tactical radios to the Iraqi Armed Forces.

The White Plains, N.Y., company will perform the contract work at Fort Wayne, Ind., and expects to have the project completed by July 30, 2008, the Army said.

The Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., awarded and will oversee the project.

Among the company's other federal customers are the Federal Aviation Administration, Coast Guard and NASA.

ITT provides communications and electronics products, space surveillance and intelligence systems, advanced engineering and services. It also specializes in water and fluid transport, treatment and control technology.

The company ranks No. 16 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
