Global Analytic IT Services Inc., a small, minority-owned professional services provider, has won $3 million worth of Army contracts to perform telecommunications work at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., home of the Army Intelligence Center.

The eight contracts cover testing, installation and upgrading of telecommunications systems, including the installation of 450 local area networks, for the Intelligence Center's Directorate of Information Management. The upgrade will affect more than 3,200 on-site employees.

This is the second time this year that GAITS has been awarded technology services contracts at Fort Huachuca, said GAITS President Thomas Asefi.

In June, the Alexandria, Va., company was awarded five Army contracts to upgrade telecommunications services for the directorate, the Electronic Proving Ground, the 11th Signal Brigade and other facilities at the Arizona military installation.
