Computer Sciences Corp. will provide support to the national customer service center of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under a new task order, the company announced today.

The task order, awarded under the Homeland Security Department's Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract, has a six-month base period and four one-year options. It will be worth $34 million if the agency uses all the options, according to CSC.

Under the task order, CSC will provide support services to tens of thousands of daily callers seeking benefits and other immigration-related information from the center. The center provides basic eligibility and filing requirements and guidance.

It provides its information in English and Spanish and uses a combination of interactive recorded responses and live customer service representatives. Teaming with CSC is Irving Burton Associates Inc. of Falls Church, Va.

CSC has about 87,000 employees and revenues of $15 billion. The company ranked No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
