ATS nabs Education tech support subcontract

ATS Corp. has won a $40 million subcontract from Perot Systems Corp. to help provide Web development, applications support and related services to the DOE.

ATS Corp. has won a 10-year, $40 million subcontract from Perot Systems Corp. to help provide Web development, applications support and related services to the Education Department.

Under the subcontract, ATS will provide Web development support for the Institution for Education Services, custom application support and server administration and desktop services support.

The McLean, Va.-based company also will be responsible for operational, developmental, debugging and fine-tuning assistance to more than 150 databases at the Education Department.

Altogether, the work will support 5,200 users in the Washington area and at 10 regional offices around the country.

The work is for the Education Department's Utility for Communications, Application and Technology Environment contract.

ATS has supplied a wide range of IT operations and support services to the Education Department since 2000.

ATS specializes in systems integration and application development, information technology infrastructure management and strategic IT consulting services to the federal government.
