Gary Ervin was named corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Corp.'s integrated systems sector, succeeding Scott Seymour, who is retiring. Ervin most recently was Western region vice president for the sector.K. Stuart Shea was named president of the intelligence, security and technology (IST) group at Science Applications International Corp., of San Diego. Shea was formerly senior vice president and general manager of the company's space and geospatial intelligence business unit. Shea is founder and chairman of the board for the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation. Stepping up from deputy general manager, Tony Moraco succeeds Shea as general manager of SAIC's space and geospatial intelligence business unit, a division of the IST Group Shea now leads.Tony Urenda joined Thales Communications Inc., of Clarksburg, Md., as business development manager on the company's tactical communications team. His primary responsibility will be as the liaison with the U.S. Special Operations forces.
