Kratos wins DCMA network recompetes

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc. has won contracts potentially totaling $22 million over three years with the Defense Contract Management Agency.

Under the two contracts, Kratos of San Diego will provide the agency with network engineering and also will assist in designing and implementing a Web-based enterprise architecture. Kratos held similar contracts at the agency since 2001 that recently expired and were competitively recompeted, said Kratos spokesman Patrick Van de Wille.

Kratos won the recompeted contracts, which each have a one-year base period and two one-year option periods.

"These two significant contract wins allow Kratos to continue our network engineering, network applications development, and network upgrade and maintenance support to DCMA," Robin Mickle, president of Kratos Government Solutions, said in a news release.

"Network engineering and network applications development are core capabilities for Kratos, and we are pleased to continue to participate in planning and implementing network improvements for DCMA for the next three years," he said.

Services covered in the new contracts include deployment of Web-enabled software applications, network software and firmware upgrades, infrastructure installations and video teleconferencing services to support the agency's wide area network.
