Guident Technologies Inc. will help replace Government Printing Office legacy mainframe-based systems with Oracle components under a new $1.58 million contract. Guident will provide Oracle implementation and integration services under the one-year deal.
Guident will implement the Oracle Project Costing and Project Billing modules into the GPO's existing suite of Oracle Applications. The goal is to modernize and streamline the office's two main business processes ? Commercial Printing and Plant Printing.
The implementation will enable the GPO to process orders from fulfillment through billing. It will also improve the agency's ability to track costs and revenue.
The new system is designed to improve cash management, control inventory flows and increase procurement efficiencies. Guident is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and deploying the Oracle modules.
Guident, based in Herndon, Va., is certified as an 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business.
