Computer Sciences Corp. will provide technical support to the Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Md., under a new five-year task order worth up to $430 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide program management, logistics, training and simulation, engineering and instrumentation; and data collection and management. The company also will tackle aviation modifications, laboratory and field testing, special programs support, data reduction and analysis and administrative support.

CSC has supported NAVAIR's integrated warfare systems since 1978 with a variety of information technology services, including on-site management, technical and administrative personnel, engineering and software programming for hardware, said James Sheaffer, president of CSC's North American Public Sector business unit.

The task order stems from the Navy SeaPort-Enhanced contract, which CSC originally announced in April 2004.

CSC of El Segundo, Calif., ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
