CACI buys intelligence services company

CACI International Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Dragon Development Corp., a provider of professional, technical and engineering services to the intelligence community. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The purchase will allow CACI to expand its presence in the intelligence community and increase its professional, technical and engineering consulting capabilities, CACI said.

DDC, a woman-owned small business, has more than 75 employees, all of whom hold top secret clearances with special access. The acquisition is expected to close Nov. 1.

DDC's core business areas are in systems and software engineering; operations research and systems analysis; advanced research and development support; and program, business and acquisition management.

The Columbia, Md., company has experienced significant growth over the past few years, with revenue expected to exceed $32 million in calendar year 2007, CACI said.

CACI of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
