General Dynamics Corp. will provide 24-hour technical and operational support to the Coast Guard's computer networks under a $10.5 million contract awarded by DHS.

General Dynamics Corp. will provide 24-hour technical and operational support to the U.S. Coast Guard's computer networks under a $10.5 million one year contract awarded by the Homeland Security Department.

General Dynamics of Falls Church, Va., will provide technical and program management support services to the Coast Guard Incident Response Team. The company will assist and coordinate department-level incident responses and identify, report and manage the resolution of computer security irregularities.

General Dynamics also will provide database management, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and systems administration of network sensors.

The task order was awarded under the DHS Enterprise Acquisitions Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract.

General Dynamics ranks No. 7 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
