GAITS wins Air Force program assessment work

The Air Force has awarded Global Analytic IT Services a contract that could span up to seven years and bring millions of dollars to the Alexandria, Va.-based information technology services firm.

The contract is worth about $3.4 million in its first year, according to Thomas Asefi, president of GAITS. The value will increase as the Air Force exercises optional renewal years.

The contract calls for GAITS to provide oversight of the Air Force's Expeditionary Combat Support System Program. The program uses Oracle's Enterprise Resource Planning suite.

The independent verification and validation contract requires GAITS to assess the program and make recommendations for managing identified risks.

GAITS has opened a new office in Dayton, Ohio, to support the effort. Its personnel will work at the adjacent Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
