ACS picked for Boston parking services

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a $19 million contract renewal from the city of Boston to continue administering a comprehensive parking ticket collection. The three-year contract has two option years.

Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will handle parking violation processing and generate notices as necessary and mail them. The company also will schedule adjudication and appeals, handle document imaging, manage correspondence and provide associated training and help desk support.

In addition to full-service parking collections, the company also handles booting and towing and provides fleet management services.

The company also has parking services contracts with Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Philadelphia, St. Louis, San Francisco and Washington.

ACS ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
