Computer Sciences Corp. will provide technical support and consulting services to Defense Finance and Accounting Service centers around the country under a new blanket purchase agreement that may be worth as much as $250 million over five years.
The deal continues work that CSC had been doing under a similar BPA signed in 2002 that is expiring. Altogether, CSC has counted DFAS as a customer for more than 15 years, according to James Sheaffer, president of the company's North American Public Sector business unit.
Under the new contract, as with the old one, CSC's services will include project management, equipment maintenance, software development and maintenance and data warehouse development and management. CSC will also provide systems integration, financial management and economic analysis services.
CSC comes to the project with a 27-company team with experience in DFAS systems, financial services, accounting and business transformation.
CSC of El Segundo, Calif., ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
