CSC captures NSA Groundbreaker extension
Computer Sciences Corp. has won a $528 million extension from NSA to continue providing IT infrastructure services through its Groundbreaker contract.
Computer Sciences Corp. has won a three-year, $528 million extension from the National Security Administration to continue providing information technology infrastructure services through its Groundbreaker contract.
The contract is held by the Eagle Alliance, led by CSC of El Segundo, Calif., as managing partner, in a joint venture with Northrop Grumman Corp. Information Technology sector.
The team will continue performance through Sept. 30, 2011. NSA awarded the original contract in July 2001.
Under Groundbreaker, the Eagle Alliance team will continue to provide IT infrastructure support, including telephony and network services, distributed computing services and enterprise and security management at NSA headquarters at Fort Meade, Md., and surrounding offices.
With 77,000 employees, CSC reported revenues of $14.7 billion in 2006. The company ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
