CACI grabs HUD tech support task

Under GSA's Applications 'N Support for Widely diverse End-user Requirements government-wide acquisition contract, the task order requires CACI to provide IT support to HUD's Office of Community Planning and Development. The General Services Administration's National Capital Region awarded the task order.

The five-year effort award expands CACI's work in the civilian sector of the federal government.

The task order calls for CACI to enhance HUD's information systems in response to regulatory and statutory changes. It also requires the company to provide, support and update help desk systems and help HUD management to complete scheduled enterprise architecture and software upgrades.

The company will integrate existing systems with new technologies to enhance operations, increase productivity and reduce costs.

CACI has 10,100 employees and had about $1 billion in revenue in 2006. The company ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
