Manatron snares Kansas city-county tax deal

Under the $1.1 million contract, Manatron of Portage, Mich., will provide professional services for the two jurisdictions' Unified Government Treasury Department and five years of annual software maintenance.
Wyandotte County is located in the northeastern section of Kansas and has a population of about 160,000. The county treasurer's office will use Manatron Tax to collect real estate, personal property, intangible, motor vehicle, special assessments and other taxes for the county, as well as all of the cities, townships, school districts and other taxing jurisdictions.
Manatron specializes in software and services that enable state and local governments to assess real and personal property and to bill and collect the related property taxes in their jurisdictions.
