Infor grabs Hansen

Infor Global Solutions plans to acquire Hansen Information Technologies Inc, a provider of software applications to the public sector. Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition will expand Infor's offerings to local and municipal government customers, Infor said.

Following the acquisition, Infor will seek to increase its market share with the targeted customer base by drawing on Hansen's applications as they relate to key government functions such as the management of employees, revenue and physical assets.

Hansen's applications address key functions that range from permitting and licensing to citizen relationship management and financials. Hansen 8, the company's flagship product, is an integrated Web-based suite that comprises these and other applications.

Hansen currently has about 470 customers throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Infor plans to use its size, global reach and professional services organization to facilitate and expand Hansen software implementations around the globe.

Hansen of Rancho Cordova, Calif., has about 350 employees and 470 customers. Infor of Alpharetta, Ga., has about 8,100 employees and 70,000 customers.
