IBM hires former GSA official

Marty Wagner, a longtime General Services Administration official who retired in January, has joined the IBM Center for the Business of Government.

Wagner will be a senior fellow working on a wide range of projects for the center and IBM, the company said.

Wagner joins Jonathan Breul, who worked for the Office of Management and Budget, Mark Abrahamson, who worked for Health, Education and Welfare Department and Jonathan Kamensky, a former Government Accountability Office analyst.

Wagner starts with the center on June 4.

He retired from GSA after 31 years in government, of which the last 16 were with the agency. Before leaving, Wagner served as the deputy commissioner of the new Federal Acquisition Service since October, and spent nine years as the associate administrator in the Office of Governmentwide Policy before moving to the FAS.
