CACI moves on Institute for Quality Management

CACI International plans to acquire the Institute for Quality Management, a provider of performance management consulting and operational support services.

CACI International Inc. plans to acquire the Institute for Quality Management Inc., a provider of performance management consulting and operational support services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will enhance CACI's offerings in the key markets of intelligence and homeland security, said Paul Cofoni, CACI's president of U.S. operations.

"This is an important strategic step for CACI in continuing to enhance shareholder value, accelerate growth and increase our sales, both organically and through acquisitions," he said.

IQM of Fairfax, Va., specializes in organizational performance management, development and training; financial and program management; process improvement and ISO systems and certification; and intelligence production.

IQM has about 60 employees and annual revenue of about $20 million. Its clients include national intelligence agencies, Homeland Security Department and Army Intelligence and Security Command.

The deal is expected to close in CACI's fourth quarter, which ends June 30.

CACI of Arlington, Va., has about 10,100 employees and had revenue of more than $1 billion in 2006. It ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest government prime contractors.
