AT&T gets CDC managed telecom deal

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded a $30 million contract for managed telecommunications services to AT&T Government Solutions.

Under the contract, AT&T Government Solutions of Vienna, Va., will manage telecom services for the CDC Information Technology Services Office. The company's work will support 14 CDC locations.

AT&T's services will include program and operations management, design engineering, help desk support and PBX and cabling services.

The contract has a two-year base with one optional three-year extension.

AT&T Government Solutions is a business unit of AT&T Inc. of San Antonio. The parent company ranks No. 67 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
