Stanley reports $112M in new federal contracts

Rounding out its fiscal year, Stanley Inc. has announced $112 million worth of new contracts and contract modifications it has won in recent months. The awards came from Defense Department customers, including the Army and Navy, and from civilian agencies.

The announced awards came in Stanley's fourth fiscal 2007 quarter, which ended March 31, and its first 2008 quarter, which will end June 30.

"Stanley ended fiscal year 2007 and began fiscal 2008 in strong fashion," said Phil Nolan, Stanley's chairman, president and chief executive officer. The new awards involve the company's systems engineering, enterprise integration and operational logistics solution areas, he said.

The awards increase the company's support for the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command and Commander Operational Test and Evaluation Force. The company also is modernizing supply, logistics and distribution systems for the Army and Marine Corps.

Stanley of Arlington, Va., has 2,800 employees at 100 locations in the U.S. and worldwide. The company ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors. The 2007 Top 100 list is due out May 14.
