Marines drop and give Smartronix $64 million
Smartronix has won a contract to provide network operations, defense and logistics support to the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command.
Smartronix Inc. has won a contract worth up to $64 million to provide network operations, defense and logistics support to the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command in Quantico, Va.
The contract has one base year and four one-year options. Smartronix subcontractor on the project is Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego.
The Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command operates the global Marine Corps Enterprise Network, which supports Marines and civilian employees worldwide.
Smartronix will provide technical, network engineering and operational services to the Marine Corps. The services include network operations support and information management support. The company will also provide telecommunications and IT systems services and systems engineering, architecture and design. Finally, Smartronix will also provide critical infrastructure protection.
Smartronix is headquartered in California, Md. The company has 500 employees throughout the U.S. and at locations in Korea, Japan, Qatar, and the Philippines.
