Harris Corp. is teaming with staffing services firm Adecco Technical Services to chase what could be a more than $200 million contract with the U.S. Postal Service.
Harris Corp. is teaming with staffing services firm Adecco Technical Services to chase what could be a more than $200 million contract with the U.S. Postal Service.
The contract would be with the Postal Service's engineering organization in Merrifield, Va., and is expected to be awarded in March.
Both companies have supported the Postal Service in various areas over the years, Harris officials said in a statement.
The contract is for technical engineering and quality assurance support work.
Other potential bidders include companies such as AC Technologies Inc. (a part of Nortel Government Solutions), ICF International Inc., RCM Technologies Inc., Science Applications International Corp., Serco Inc. and VSE Corp.
The contract likely will be a multiple award, task order contract, according to the market research firm FedSources Inc., McLean, Va.
The work entails providing staff to support quality assurance work at the engineering services center and at other sites around the country, according to FedSources.
Adecco Technical Services is a unit of Adecco Group, Zurich, Switzerland.
Harris of Melbourne, Fla., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
