SRA tackles tech work for EPA Brownfields program

SRA International Inc. won a four-year, $10.5 million task order from the Environmental Protection Agency to deliver IT support to the agency's Brownfields program.

Under the contract, SRA of Fairfax, Va., will help the EPA Office of Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment to enhance its assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment exchange system to meet the program's reporting and management needs. The agency awarded the task order through the CIO Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations contract.

Services will include requirements analysis; enterprise architecture design and implementation; and systems design, development, and integration. The company also will furnish data analysis and management, as well as electronic content and document management.

SRA's team includes Environmental Management Support, Inc., of Silver Spring, Md.

SRA has worked with EPA on the Brownfields Program since 1996. The program's mission is to clean up contaminated properties and reuse them to create economic growth and more livable communities. The company worked with EPA to develop information management solutions to manage, report, and communicate activities, accomplishments, and performance measures for the program. EPA awarded the task order through the CIO Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations contract.

SRA has about 4,900 workers and had annual revenue of nearly $1.2 billion for fiscal 2006. The company ranks No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
