Robbins-Gioia LLC will support a major Air Force logistics initiative at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base through a $3.8 million contract.
Under the contract, Robbins-Gioia LLC of Alexandria, Va., will furnish a variety of support services for the Air Force's expeditionary combat support system program. These services include program and financial management, enterprise resource planning and acquisition support.
The goal of the program is to build an integrated system that will provide logistics personnel with access to the same pool of information. By the time the program is fully implemented in several years, the Air Force expects to have replaced more than 500 systems with a single, servicewide suite of Web-based computer applications.
The system ultimately will integrate logistics functions, such as supply, maintenance, repair, distribution and procurement, with related business functions such as budgeting, financial and personnel management.
Robbins-Gioia's contracting team for the project includes Capital City Technologies, CDO Technologies Inc., Logistics Management Institute and Quantech Services Inc.
