Industry people on the move

The CEO and chief financial officer of Affiliated Computer Services Inc. resigned after an investigation into the company's stock-options practices found that they violated ethics rules.CEO and President Mark King and CFO Warren Edwards agreed to stay with the Dallas company until June 30, 2007, to help with the transition.Lynn Blodgett, executive vice president and chief operating officer, was named CEO, and John Rexford, executive vice president of corporate development, was named CFO.David Fisher has been named acting director for the Defense Department's Business Transformation Agency.One year after the agency was established, Paul Brinkley and Thomas Modly, who had been serving jointly as directors, announced an organizational restructuring, placing Fisher at the helm of the business oversight agency until a permanent director is hired, a process that could take several months.Brinkley and Modly also named Radha Sekar as assistant deputy chief financial officer in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, and Cindy Beck as Business Transformation Agency lead for several programs.Texas CTO Larry Olson, architect of several major IT initiatives in the Lone Star State, announced that he will leave his post effective Dec. 31.In his letter of resignation, Olson cited his key accomplishments, including setting up a new shared services strategy for statewide IT enterprise, renegotiating the Texas portal partnership and completing a statewide data center consolidation agreement.Brian Rawson, director of service delivery for the agency, was named interim CTO.
