ACS appoints pair of chief operating officers

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has promoted Ann Vezina and
Tom Burlin to the positions of chief operating officer of its
Commercial Solutions Group and Government Solutions Group,
respectively.

The promotions are part of a strategy by ACS President and CEO
Lynn Blodgett to give the two executives and their operating groups
more authority and autonomy, the company said in a statement
yesterday.

The announcement follows the resignation in November of ACS President and CEO Mark King and
Chief Financial Officer Warren Edwards after an internal
investigation into the company's stock options found that
King, Edwards and former CEO Jeffrey Rich had violated ethics
practices.

Vezina and Burlin will report directly to Blodgett on the
performance of their respective groups. Both individuals previously
held the titles of executive vice president and group president.

ACS Commercial Solutions Group currently contributes more than
$3 billion to the company's annual revenue, while the
Government Solutions Group furnishes more than $2 billion of the
company's annual revenue.

ACS of Dallas has more than 58,000 employees and had annual
sales of $5.3 billion in fiscal 2006. The company ranks No.48 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top100 list the largest federal IT contractors.

The promotions open the door for improved client relationships
and provide a better structure for the company's two
operating groups, Blodgett said in a statement.

"This organizational change will help meet our objective
of future growth in two ways," he said. "First, by
eliminating a layer of leadership between my office and the field,
we can push authority back into our lines of business, giving our
employees the freedom to make critical, client-affecting decisions
quickly Second, it improves the simplicity and effectiveness of our
operations which will best leverage our knowledge, best practices,
and advanced technologies across the company and throughout our
operations."
