ITT chosen for DISA's Joint Spectrum Center support deal

ITT Corp. has been awarded a contract, potentially worth $545 million, to support the Defense Information Systems Agency's Joint Spectrum Center.

Under the Electromagnetic Spectrum Engineering Services contract, the White Plains, N.Y.-based company will provide engineering systems support, technical analysis, test support and strategic planning to help the center manage spectrum. The three-year base value of the contract is $147 million, although it could grow to $545 million if all options are exercised.

ITT will work with DISA and other government agencies on radio frequency selection, management and analysis, according to a company release.

"ITT will perform analyses on radio frequency interference, frequency sharing, power spectral densities and geographical distribution of interference. ITT will also provide feedback on technology risk assessment, visibility and network coverage," according to the release.

The Joint Spectrum Center is the Defense Department's research hub for use of electromagnetic spectrum for national security and military objectives. It is a field office within the Defense Spectrum Organization.
