CACI wins expanded ship maintenance deal from Navy

CACI International Inc. won a five-year, $36 million contract to deliver an expanded roster of services for the Naval Sea System Command's ship maintenance and improvement program.

Under the contract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will continue to furnish program management, engineering and technical support services that help the Navy fleet stay equipped and ready at all times.

CACI's specific tasks include supporting maintenance processes, procedures and training, and providing associated IT services. In supporting vital maintenance requirements, CACI enables the Navy to ensure that work performed for the fleet is applicable and effective.

The company has supported ship maintenance improvement since 1976 through five successive contracts. NAVSEA's Ship Maintenance Improvement Program is one of the most critical programs the Navy employs to reduce surface ship maintenance costs.

CACI, which has about 10,100 employees and had fiscal 2005 revenue of $1.6 billion, ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list the largest federal IT contractors.
