Montana re-ups ACS for Medicaid fiscal services

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will continue delivering Medicaid fiscal agent and associated services to Montana under a 58-month contract worth $29 million.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will continue delivering Medicaid fiscal agent and associated services to Montana under a 58-month contract worth $29 million.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services agency awarded the contract to the company. ACS of Dallas will continue processing claims for the state's Medicaid and Mental Health Services Plan, and will handle systems development and maintenance, Web services, decision support services, and fraud and abuse detection and recovery.

The company also will supply call-center support, program policy support and third-party recovery services.

For the state's children's health insurance plan, ACS will process eyeglass and dental claims.

ACS processes more than 7 million claims annually for the state's Medicaid and Mental Health Services Plan.

ACS specializes in IT and business process outsourcing. The company, which has about 55,000 employees and had annual sales of $5.3 billion in fiscal 2006, ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
