Mendler rises to become Alion COO
Stacy Mendler will take the reins as chief operating officer, overseeing day-to-day operations.
Alion Science and Technology Corp. picked one of its own to be the company's first chief operating officer (COO).
Stacy Mendler will take the reins as COO, overseeing day-to-day operations. She had been Alion's executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Mendler was part of the company's 2002 employee buyout from a not-for-profit company to form Alion as an employee-owned company. She has more than 20 years experience in defense and aerospace industries.
"Stacy is a proven leader, and I am confident that, in this role, she will be a champion in fulfilling our strategic plan while maintaining the daily activities of Alion," said company Chairman and CEO Bahman Atefi.
