Keane of Boston will supply program management and application maintenance to support help desk and network operations for the Community Oriented Policing Services Office's management system.
Keane's Public Sector practice will run the project. Teamed with Keane are Turner Consulting Group of Washington and Apptis Inc. of Chantilly, Va.
The Community Oriented Policing Services Office gives grants to local governments to enhance neighborhood policing. These grants have resulted in the hiring of 118,000 police officers and the purchase of numerous technical resources since 1995.
"CMS will allow the Department of Justice users to more effectively manage the lifecycle of the grants process: from issuance to search, to approvals in a data protected environment," Glenn Giles, vice president and general manager of Keane's Public Sector Practice, said in a statement announcing the award.
