Four win slots on Air Force tech support deal

The Air Force Medical Support Agency selected four companies to deliver technology and consulting services under a five-year, $95 million blanket purchase agreement.

The four companies are Thomas & Herbert Consulting LLC, Silver Spring, Md.; Planned Systems International, Inc., Columbia, Md.; TerraHealth, San Antonio; and IMS Health Inc., Falls Church, Va., said an official with Thomas & Herbert.

The Thomas & Herbert team, which includes Toffler Associates, BearingPoint Inc., AQIWO, Front Line Systems, Group W., Innovative Management Concepts Inc., McClendon, ManTech International Inc., and TMI Solutions Inc., will provide services including chief information officer advisory, program and project management and systems analysis and integration.

The companies will furnish services for Air Force Medical Support Agency modernization and other agency staff and branches in the national capital region, Dayton, Ohio, and San Antonio.

Air Force Medical Support Agency's mission is to improve the global performance, capability and cost effectiveness of medical service in supporting combat forces and maintaining the health of beneficiaries.

The agency is the Air Force Surgeon General's primary focal point for policy development, strategies, plans, consultant services, and requirements dealing with facilities, supplies, equipment, acquisition, information systems and resources.
