Six companies to compete under Smarts program

Six companies will compete for work under the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's recently awarded, $200 million Support to Management and Resources for Technical Services (Smarts) program.

The Smarts contracts, which became effective on July 1, bring a large pool of support personnel to provide Web design services, management consultation, financial and management-related support, program and project support and other management services across NGA.

The winning contractors include Booz Allen Hamilton; BAE Systems; CACI Inc.; Science Applications International Corp.; Applied Systems Research, Inc. of McLean, Va.; and Staffing Alternatives Inc. of Gaithersburg, Md.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts will run for a base year with four, one-year options.
