ACS inks Florida Medicaid enrollment services deal

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will deliver counseling and broker enrollment services for Medicaid in Florida under a two-year pilot program worth $12 million.

Under the contract, ACS will help Medicaid recipients choose and join plans and furnish program outreach, education and counseling.

The Dallas company intends to use a multifaceted approach to educate participants and enable them to efficiently navigate their health plan choices.

The Florida Health Care Administration Agency awarded the contract and will oversee the pilot project in five counties.

ACS offers business processing and IT outsourcing to the commercial and government sectors. The company, which has more than 5,500 employees and annual revenue of $4.3 billion, ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
