CSC wins DOJ case management system deal

Computer Sciences Corp. will develop a system for sharing case-related information among agencies, partners and others under a task order with the Justice Department.The Litigation Case Management System, which has a seven-month base period and four one-year options, could be worth up to $42 millionCSC of El Segundo, Calif., will develop and implement a commercial, user-friendly enterprise architecture platform for sharing case-related information within and between the seven DOJ litigating agencies, federal, state and local organizations, and the public. The architecture will capture information once and make it available to all authorized users from a single repository.The system will allow DOJ users to search, track and organize records, process cases more quickly, and manage and share vast quantities of litigation data while protecting sensitive information.The contract was awarded under the Chief Information Officer?Solutions and Partner 2 contract.The seven DOJ litigating agencies?which include about 13,000 users and represent the primary customers of the system?are the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and DOJ's Antitrust, Criminal, Civil, Civil Rights, Environment and Natural Resources, and Tax divisions.Teaming with CSC are Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., McLean, Va.; High Performance Technologies Inc. of Reston, Va.; Oracle Corp., Reston, Va.; Synergistek Inc. of Rockville, Md.; and Welkin Associates Ltd., a Chantilly, Va.-based, wholly-owned subsidiary of CSC.CSC has more than 80,000 employees and had $14.1 billion in annual revenue in fiscal 2005. The company ranks on Washington Technology's 2006 list of federal IT prime contractors.
