Rubel to join Government Insights
Government Insights has hired analyst Thom Rubel as a research program director.
Government Insights, an IDC Company, has hired analyst Thom Rubel as a research program director.
In his new role, Rubel will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development of two research programs focused on improving management decisions related to technology throughout the government markets. Rubel will oversee the firm's strategy, governance and reporting program and its program management and controls program.
Rubel was most recently an analyst with the consulting group at Input Inc., Reston, Va. Before that, he was vice president of government strategies at Meta Group Inc., Stamford, Conn. He joined Meta after working as director of state information technology programs for the National Governors Association.
Rubel also has held positions as assistant undersecretary for the Agriculture Department and deputy director of consumer affairs for the Transportation Department.
Overall, Rubel has 19 years of leadership and IT experience.
