ManTech wins explosive device deterrence work

ManTech International Corp. won a two-year, $114 million subcontract to support the product director for counter radio-controlled improvised explosive device systems being used in Southwest Asia.

ManTech received the task order as a subcontractor to Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., under the Army Communications-Electronic Life Cycle Command Management Rapid Response contract. The CREW systems are part of the Warlock Program, which is a family of systems being used to defeat IEDs.

Under the task order, which consists of one base year and one option year, ManTech will provide a substantial level of the services ordered to support the readiness directorate field service support division. These services include deployed rapid response logistics and repairs management for specialized systems, logistics and inventory management, and structural facility enhancement.

ManTech of Fairfax, Va., furnishes technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs for the intelligence community, Defense Department and other federal government agencies.

The company, which has more than 6,000 employees and had annual sales of $980.3 million in fiscal 2005, ranks No. 21 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
