CACI buys AlphaInsight

CACI International Corp. has acquired AlphaInsight, a company that specializes in network services and related capabilities.

CACI International Inc. has acquired AlphaInsight Corp., a company that specializes in network services and related capabilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will help CACI boost its federal civilian agency business as well as add core systems integration and network services capabilities, Paul Cofoni, president of CACI's U.S. Operations, said in a statement announcing the deal.

AlphaInsight of Falls Church, Va., offers its federal clients an array of technology services, including software and systems engineering, network engineering and management, and information assurance and security. Aronson Capital Partners of Rockville, Md., was AlphaInsight's advisor in the deal.

AlphaInsight has contracts with the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and State. The company has about 360 employees and annual revenue of $42 million.

CACI has about 10,100 employees and had annual sales of $1.6 billion in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
